O ver 80,000 people visit the LBJ State Park and Historic Site annually for a glimpse of where Gillespie County native Lyndon B. Johnson, the 36th President of the United States spent his childhood.

Elsewhere in the park, a winding 2.1 mile nature trail leads walkers to a larger-than-life bronze statue of the former president overlooking the Pedernales River.
